교도소 선교사역을 시작한 지 어느덧 30년의 시간이 흘렀습니다. 몇 해 전에는 비영리단체(NPO) 등록을 마치고 보다 체계적인 활동을 이어오고 있습니다.

저희는 교도소를 방문하여 수형자들을 만나고, 선교 월간지를 보급하며, 성경을 보내는 사역을 계속해 오고 있습니다. 또한 그들이 사회에 자연스럽게 복귀하고 새로운 삶을 살아갈 수 있도록 돕는 일을 중요한 사명으로 여기고 있습니다.

그동안은 저 개인과 뜻을 함께하는 분들의 작은 정성과 후원으로 이 사역을 이어올 수 있었습니다. 이제는 비영리단체로서 보다 넓은 차원의 Outreach와 봉사를 실천하고자 합니다. 예수님의 사랑을 삶 속에서 실천하려는 노력을 계속 이어갈 수 있기를 늘 기도하고 있습니다.

처음에는 한국인 수감자들을 위한 사역으로 시작하였지만, 몇 해 전부터는 미주 지역의 아시안 수형자들로 그 범위를 확대하게 되었습니다. 이제는 소수계 수감자들뿐 아니라 모든 미국인 수감자들에게도 사랑과 희망의 손길을 전해야 할 때라고 믿고 있습니다.

저희는 언제나 겸손한 마음으로 예수님의 가르침을 본받으며, 여러분과 함께 이 길을 동행하고자 합니다.

From the Chaplain

It has now been over 30 years since I began prison ministry work. Several years ago, we officially became a registered nonprofit organization (NPO), allowing us to continue and expand our mission in a more organized way.

Our ministry has been devoted to visiting correctional facilities, distributing monthly ministry publications, and sending Bibles to inmates. We also strive to help incarcerated individuals reintegrate naturally into society and begin new lives with hope and dignity.

For many years, this ministry has been supported through my personal dedication and the generous contributions of individuals who share the same calling and vision. Now, as a nonprofit organization, we hope to reach further and serve more people through a new level of outreach ministry. We continue to pray that we may faithfully practice the love and compassion of Jesus Christ in all that we do.

What began as a ministry serving Korean inmates has gradually expanded over the years to include Asian inmates throughout the United States. Today, we believe the time has come to extend our hands not only to minorities, but to all inmates in America who are in need of hope, encouragement, and spiritual care.

With humility, we seek to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and walk together with all of you in this mission.
